Alex Shakar
Award-winning author Alex Shakar's third novel Luminarium reflects on the role of technology and spirituality plays in our reality. I worked with Alex to create illustrations for the book that reflected the iconic visuals of tech culture with ideas of spirituality. Each chapter was marked with a custom drawn illustration. Together they form a thematic visual of the narrative. In all, 46 illustrations were created.
Luminarium has gone on to receive numerous awards and accolades including the Los Angeles Times Book Prize in Fiction.
After collaborating with Alex on his novel, Luminarium, we teamed up once again to redesign and rebuild his author website for the release of the novel and book tour to follow. The visual style of the website was redesigned to better represent Alex and his growing array of publications.
